Step 1: Overview and Instructions
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP
Becoming a Professional Member qualifies a Foot Zone Practitioner to practice the profession of Foot Zoning legally in the state of Utah.

Professional Members have a vote regarding By-Laws and election of Committee members. They may access the minutes of Committee Meetings, and may request to be on the agenda for an upcoming meetings to share their concerns.

Professional Members may be elected to serve on the Committee and be invited to serve on special committees and help with the Annual Conference.

You will need the following to apply:
  1. Contact information of the person / school who trained you
  2. A UFZA number from your Instructor
  3. Your personal contact information
  4. $60.00 annual fee with a credit card on the PayPal site or your PayPal account
  5. Your Photo (optional) for the Membership Directory
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Becoming an Associate Member does NOT qualify a person to practice the profession of Foot Zoning legally in the state of Utah.

Associate Members do not meet the educational requirements for Professional Membership and may be certified in other holistic modalities, want to associate with and support or contribute to the UFZA and it's Conferences, and be included in the Directory as an Associate.

You will need the following to apply:

  2. Your personal contact information
  3. $60.00 annual fee with a credit card on the PayPal site or your PayPal account
  4. Your Photo (optional) for the Membership Directory
INTERN MEMBERSHIP
Becoming an Intern Member identifies an individual as a student who is registered in a UFZA Recognized Foot Zone Technique Training Program and is working toward Professional Membership in the UFZA.

This Membership may be upgraded to a Professional Membership when your training is complete. At that time your instructor is authorized to give you a UFZA Professional Membership number. When you have received your UFZA number, please return to this website to upgrade your membership from Intern to Professional. As a UFZA Professional Member you will then be qualified to legally practice Foot Zone in the state of Utah and collect for your services.

Step 1: Acknowledgments Please read the terms set out below and ensure that you agree to or have completed the terms outlined below

Educational Standards
I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE met the following UFZA minimum Educational Standards:

  1. I have been trained in the technique of Foot Zone
  2. I have completed at least 80 hours of training in basic anatomy and physiology and the way it relates to the foot zone.
  3. I have completed at least 50 foot zones.
  4. I have passed a written and practical exam.
Professional Standards of Practice
In order to promote public trust and maintain high standards of conduct within the Foot Zone profession, Foot Zone Practitioners shall:

  1. Abide by applicable local, state, and national laws including business licensure in the jurisdictions in which he or she practices.
  2. Ensure the safety of both clients and practitioners and maintain a clean environment.
  3. Limit a Foot Zone session to treating only the feet, hands, or outer ears of a clothed client unless legally authorized to do otherwise.
  4. Maintain records of and represent certifications, education, and training accurately.
  5. Maintain the integrity of the Foot Zone Technique representing it in your practice as being separate and distinct from any other modality such as Muscle Testing, Aromatherapy, Nutrition Therapy, Bach Flower, Oils or various Energy Modalities.
  6. Refrain from diagnosing or prescribing for specific conditions, but will communicate to my clients that observations found in the signal system of the feet refer to the signal of the specified part, organ or system and should be referred to as such when communicating with the client.
UFZA recommends that Foot Zone Practitioners provide a disclosure statement to their clients. Practitioners may create their own disclosure statement. Training programs may provide their students with this information or supply them with an already written form from their own program. Sample forms may also be found on the UFZA website.
Training
I have received less than 80 hours of formal instruction, and have some experience in the practical application of the foot zone technique.
Training
I am registered in a UFZA Recognized Foot Zone Technique training program, and am in the process of receiving instruction and experience in the practical application of the foot zone technique.

In order to promote public trust and maintain high standards of conduct within the Foot Zone profession, I shall:

  1. Maintain a professional standard of honesty, integrity and fair play.
  2. Treat all Foot Zone Practitioners, Training Programs and other healthcare professionals in a courteous and respectful manner and uphold the honor of our profession.
  3. Be mindful of and respect the inherent worth, privacy and confidentiality of all individuals.
  4. Abide by the Professional Standards established by the UFZA.
  5. Pay annual dues to the UFZA to maintain my Professional Membership.
