If you are considering starting a Foot Zone School here are guidelines for you to follow:
Schools need the following:
- School and its graduates belong to an organization recognized by DOPL and students can show certificate of completion (so they can belong to the UFZA)
- Needs a defined scope of practice
- Anatomy & Physiology Course - 80 hours
- Minimum of 300+ hours class instruction - this can include videos and online work as well as in person
- Required certification exam
- Required code of ethics
- Required active code of oversight of graduates (meaning are they being legal, and in good standing with the industry. Also, this is accomplished through UFZA membership)
- Requires some form of continued education (can be done through UFZA conferences or by the owner of the school)
