If you are considering starting a Foot Zone School here are guidelines for you to follow:

 Schools need the following:
  1. School and its graduates belong to an organization recognized by DOPL and students can show certificate of completion (so they can belong to the UFZA)
  2. Needs a defined scope of practice
  3. Anatomy & Physiology Course - 80 hours
  4. Minimum of 300+ hours class instruction - this can include videos and online work as well as in person
  5. Required certification exam
  6. Required code of ethics
  7. Required active code of oversight of graduates (meaning are they being legal, and in good standing with the industry.  Also, this is accomplished through UFZA membership)
  8. Requires some form of continued education (can be done through UFZA conferences or by the owner of the school)
